If you are receiving an error "wrong token" when entering your 2FA code, the most common cause is the time on your mobile device may be out of Sync:
Please follow the below instructions to ensure that you have the correct time set on your device:
- Go to the main menu on the Google Authenticator app
- Select Settings
- Select Time correction for codes
- Select Sync now
- Go to the iPhone Settings App
- Select General
- Select Date & Time
- Enable Set Automatically
- If this is already enabled, disable this and enable again in 5 seconds
Another Common Reason is Selecting the incorrect website:
Google Authenticator lets you manage several separate 2FA tokens, please pay extra attention to make sure you are using the correct token. The tokens expire quickly so also make sure you are entering the token quickly so that it doesn't expire.
