My wallet value shows less than what I bought, why?
Within any CoinSpot account, the approximate wallet value displayed is based on the Buy Price of any assets held, this is in line with industry standard practices. Your portfolio displays the value of your account on paper: any AUD funds & what it would cost to purchase the coins held in your CoinSpot wallets.
If you are intending to sell your assets, please ensure you are checking the Sell Price prior to confirming your trade.
The Change Per 24hr shows that I should have made profit, why hasn’t the value changed according to the percentage change?
Users will notice that on both Instant Buy/Sell and Wallets Page, there is a mentioned Change 24Hr for the relevant coin. The change per 24 hrs does not mirror the change to your wallet, instead this is a 24 hour rolling average that will reflect the change of coin price (in percentage) 24 hours from the time that you refresh the page.
You can confirm this by viewing our Advanced Charts and setting the data range to ‘1D’ (One Day) along the bottom of the graph, you will notice that the price shown on the far left (Earliest) indicator will represent the price before its percentage change. You can also confirm this price change by viewing the current price with its 24Hr change underneath in a green or red text with the percentage %.
Please note that the Advanced Chart only shows the BUY price.

Can I sort the order of each column?
Yes! You can tap the headings of each column (Coin / Buy / Sell / Market Cap / Volume (24hr) / Change (24hr)) This will then sort from ascending to descending value or vice versa.

Can I use USD to purchase or sell in USD? Can I change the value to USD?
As CoinSpot is an Australian based digital currency exchange, we are only able to use and show the AUD value. If you wish to use USD or convert AUD to USD, you will need to complete this through your own tools outside of CoinSpot.
Can we purchase coins not listed on the platform?

Your coins will be sold into AUD which will be held in your CoinSpot account. You can then request to withdraw the AUD back to your bank account. AUD withdrawal request will be processed on the same day if submitted before 2pm (AEDT) on a Business Day, (Mon - Fri). Please follow the guide to complete this:

My coins are not showing up after my buy order?
Go to the wallet of the coin you purchased and refresh your browser to confirm if the balance has updated.
Go to your AUD wallet and check if the AUD funds reflect within your balances displayed under:
- CoinSpot Website (Dashboard) - 'Account Funds' (Figure 3)
- CoinSpot Mobile App (Dashboard) - 'Available Funds' (Figure 4)
If the funds are available, your buy order may have failed - please proceed to purchase your coins again.

What is a Spread?
The term 'Spread' refers to the difference between the Buy price and Sell price of any one particular asset.
Large differences between the Buy and Sell price are often a result of low depth or liquidity in the market. This occurs when there is a large discrepancy between how much the market is willing to pay for a digital currency and how much the market is willing to sell the digital currency for.
See Figure 7. to view the difference in the Buy Price vs Sell Price.

Because CoinSpot provides instant liquidity at a locked in price, our Instant Buy or Sell price automatically calculates the best price possible for your order against real time order books.
