Why am I not receiving SMS or Email Verification to set up my Digital Wallet?
Your mobile phone number and email address will need to be the same as the one on your CoinSpot account, if you are not receiving SMS or Email Verification, please ensure the following:
- Strong cellular reception to receive SMS.
- Check your email inbox, spam and junk folder.
- If you have recently changed your mobile phone number, please submit an Authorisation Photo to Account Recovery (Mobile Number Change).
- If you have recently changed your email address or no longer have access to your email address, please submit an Authorisation Photo to Account Recovery (Change Email).
Can I use Samsung Pay?
Yes, you can set up your CoinSpot Mastercard using Samsung Pay on your Samsung device, however, you will need to manually enter your CoinSpot Mastercard details through Samsung Pay.

Apple Pay
- iPhone models with Face ID.
- iPhone models with Touch ID, except iPhone 5s.

- Android models with NFC.
- Android 5.0 (Lollipop) to download Google Wallet.
- Android Nougat 7.0 to add, view cards and make contactless payments.

Can I use my CoinSpot Mastercard on my Apple Watch or other Android watches?
Yes, you can use the CoinSpot Mastercard to make fast payments with your smartwatch. Not all smartwatches will have the ability to pay. To link your smartwatch, please refer to your smartwatch or digital wallet provider for further information on how to add your digital card.
Why can’t I register my card?
If you are receiving an error message when attempting to verify your CoinSpot Mastercard, please ensure you are utilising the correct card details. Double check the card number, expiry and CVV.
Can I remove my CoinSpot Mastercard from my Digital Wallet?
Yes, you can remove the CoinSpot Mastercard from your Digital Wallet. You can also re-add your card if you need to.
iPhone - Apple Pay
- Go to Apple Wallet & select the CoinSpot Mastercard.
- Tap the More button.
- Select Card Details.
- Scroll down and tap Remove This Card.
Android - Google Wallet
- Go to Google Wallet.
- Locate and tap your CoinSpot Mastercard.
- Tap on the Three vertical dots and tap on the Remove payment method.
Android - Samsung Pay
- Go to Samsung Pay.
- Locate and tap your CoinSpot Mastercard.
- Tap on the Three vertical dots and tap Delete card.
How do I set my CoinSpot Mastercard as a default payment method?

I have disabled my card, can I still use this?
If you have disabled your CoinSpot Mastercard, you will not be able to use this. You will need to re-enable your CoinSpot Mastercard to use your card. For further information on how to re-enable your CoinSpot Mastercard, please refer to the article below.

Why isn’t my card working in-store?
If your card is not working in store, please try the troubleshooting method for the following Digital Wallets.
Apple Pay Troubleshoot
Update your Apps & Device
- Ensure Apple Wallet & your📱iPhone are updated to the latest version.
Check Apple’s System Status
- Check if Apple Pay & Wallet is down via Apple’s System Status page.
Sign into your iCloud
- Ensure you are signed into iCloud on your iPhone. If you sign out of iCloud your cards will be removed from your device.
Manually select your card
- Go to Apple Wallet.
- Select the card to use.
- If asked to authenticate, use TouchID or FaceID.
- Hold your iPhone near the POS terminal.
Other Troubleshooting Tips
- Ensure the store accepts Apple Pay.
- Remove your iPhone case and try again.
- Adjust the position of your device when holding it against the POS terminal.
- Close the Apple Wallet App and reopen it.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Restore your iPhone to factory settings.
(Restoring your device to factory setting will wipe your personal data and files on your device.)
Google Pay Troubleshoot
Update your Apps & Device
- Ensure your Google Wallet App, Google Play Services & 📱Android Device are up to date.
Check contactless payment setup
- Open Google Wallet App.
- At the top right, tap your profile picture (Top Right).
- Tap on .

NFC Support
- Open your Settings App.
- Search for NFC.
- Turn on ‘Use NFC’ or ‘NFC and contactless payments’.
(If NFC is not located on your device, you will not be able to make contactless payments with your device.)
Other Troubleshooting Tips
- Ensure your mobile device is awake and unlocked.
- Hold your device closer and longer to the POS terminal.
- Adjust the position of your device when holding it against the POS terminal.
- Move your device out of range of the POS terminal for a few seconds and try again.
- Restart your device.
- If the payment doesn’t go through, find the NFC sign on the terminal or ask the cashier for help.
Samsung Pay Troubleshoot
Update your Apps & Device
Ensure your Samsung Pay & 📱Samsung Devices are up to date.
NFC Support
- Open your Settings App.
- Search for NFC.
- Turn on ‘NFC and contactless payments’.
(If NFC is not located on your device, you will not be able to make contactless payments with your device.)
Reset Samsung Pay
- Go to Samsung Pay.
- Select the Three Horizontal Lines (Top Left).
- Select the Settings Icon.
- Scroll down and select Reset app.
Other Troubleshooting Tips
- Hold your device closer and longer to the POS terminal.
- Adjust the position of your device when holding it against the POS terminal.
- Restart your Samsung Device.
- Remove and re-add your card.
- Reset Samsung Pay.
