Security feature to identify our users over the phone!
The Phone Verification phrase allows customers to add a custom word or phrase of their choice to their CoinSpot account as well as a small hint to assist a member in remembering this phrase. The Phone Verification phrase will only be used to identify the customer over the phone.
Locating the Security Page
1. Once logged in, select the My Account Menu(1) > Security(2).

Enabling Phone Verification
2. Once on the Security page, locate Phone Verification(1) > Enter your chosen Verification Phrase & Hint(2) > Enter in your App Based 2FA Code(3) > Then click on Save Verification Phrase(4).

The Phone Security phrase and hint will never be visible in a customer's account after it is created and only CoinSpot staff will be able to view the phrase and hint when assisting a member.
If you are ever unsure of the legitimacy of a phone call from CoinSpot, you can request your Phone Security phrase hint in order to determine if you are speaking to a CoinSpot staff member.
